Our Mission

Adoration - the call by, acceptance of, and response to God
Community - the love and caring of each other
Theology - the study of God through scripture and the Catholic Faith
Service - to God and his people.

The Denton ACTS Community exists to honor and adore our Creator, love the people around us (at St. Mark's and Immaculate Conception Parishes, and the greater Denton, TX community), grow closer to God through a study of His Word and the Sacred Tradition handed down through His Church, and foster a spirit of service toward God and his People.

ACTS helps build the body of Christ by developing stronger bonds between members of a parish community, and helping them grow closer to our Lord. The primary way we achieve this is through our semi-annual Men's and Women's Retreats.

The Retreats

There are separate retreats held for men and women twice each year. Each retreat is a three-night encounter with God and other members of our church community. The retreats run Thursday night through Mass on Sunday morning.

This site

Keeping in Touch (Mailing Lists, Prayer Requests, etc.)

All past retreatants and team members are also encouraged to participate in the mailing lists. We have separate lists for the men and women, as well as a list for all members of the ACTS community. These lists are the fastest way to get a prayer request to the entire ACTS community, or to simply keep in touch with your fellow ACTS brothers and sisters. The lists are open to all past retreatants and team members, as well as our priests. If you aren't already a list member, and would like to join, please register here with your name, email address and phone number. We'll get you added to the lists asap.

  Quote of the day

Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weakness. I pray that you will understand the words of Jesus, 'Love one another as I have loved you.' Ask yourself 'How has he loved me? Do I really love others in the same way?' Unless this love is among us, we can kill ourselves with work and it will only be work, not love. Work without love is slavery.

-- Mother Teresa of Calcutta
